An introduction

This is just a brief hello from me – this is my first foray into blogging, and until the idea was hatched, it never occurred to me that I could have the best of both worlds. My passion for CrossFit, and writing seem worlds apart, but it slowly dawned on me that there is an easy conflation of the two, and they seem to sit at an easy impasse alongside each other. 

I feel that fundamentally what it takes to achieve results in CrossFit lends itself well to what it takes to create great writing. Consistency, dedication, hard work, sweat, and most importantly to not be afraid to fail. 

Walking up to a 35 kg bar to attempt a snatch, and staring at a blank page with wavering confidence are so similar that it’s almost comforting how familiar the two situations are. So much so, that it is because of CrossFit that I have stronger resolve to write, and was able to set this paragraph to ‘paper’.
